Trinity Irish Dancers
Traditional Irish dancing is tightly choreographed and all attention is directed to the speed and accuracy of the footwork, the spacing of the ensemble, and the precision of the dancers' movements. The dancers' arms are held tightly to their sides. Dances are performed in hard shoes (jig shoes) and soft shoes (ghillies) with steps set to traditional reels, jigs and hornpipes. Hard shoe dances, or step dances, are noted for the thunderous beat from the tap-like shoes. In soft-shoe dances, the dancers execute small jumps, quick beats and ankle-twisting crossover steps. These dances are traditionally performed wearing wool costumes adorned with handmade lace and Celtic embroidery.

Hogan Irish Dance Academy

Hogan Irish Dance Academy is traditional Irish Dance for well-rounded kids. We build a foundation for excellent young people through our 360° approach to Irish dance, including dance technique, athletic strength, team dance, stage performance and community outreach.
All goals are welcome. Whether it’s becoming a champion, earning a dress or simply gaining the confidence to perform on stage, we work hard to achieve every goal and celebrate like crazy when that goal is achieved. We want kids that are excited to show up to each class, see their friends, have fun, work hard, and leave feeling accomplished.

The Gaelic word “saol” (pronounced “sail”) translates to “life”, and we believe Irish Dance can provide experiences that will positively impact your child's life. At Saol Academy we recognize that each dancer is unique, and encourage our students to challenge themselves by striving to reach their greatest potential in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. We will work our hardest to support every student’s goals, whether they are interested in competition, performance, or just learning a new skill. Regardless of the dancer's focus, our #1 goal is to HAVE FUN!
